April Smiles: NaPoWriMo 2016

Spring blooms laugh and sway—

April smiles for me.

I always imagine daffodils laughing and chattering amongst themselves, and it makes me happy.

I’m going to try to write a poem a day for NaPoWriMo, but don’t worry, I won’t post every day. (Sigh of relief from everyone who receives my blog posts.)

  1. Posting every day would be just fine 🙂 good luck with your poetry month– I ‘d love to try it but timing isn’t right just now…I love your daffodil poem–they do seem to be laughing, chatting or even singing. My daffodils are just tiny shoots peeking out of the ground– I fear the coming hard frost is going to get in their way. Oh well.

    • Thanks, Janice. I’m working on two reference books, plus other projects right now, so I don’t know about the timing for me either, but we shall see. 🙂
I think daffodils are pretty hardy. Ours survived snow and thunderstorms.

      • We must have purchased extra hardy ones years and years ago–because I have NO gardening skills at all. We have spring flowers from bulbs because they’re easy. 🙂
