Rain Dance

We dance under the evening sky

cover our heads as raindrops fly,

paint the surface with silver streams

till all is glowing, flowing dreams

reflect our lives in misty tumble,

affect our brains, bodies stumble,

then both the air and our thoughts clear,

we dare to dream, to banish fear.

This is in response to the Secret Keeper’s Writing Prompt.

The prompt words were: Paint/Clear/Dare/Cover/ Dance

I wrote a poem of 4 rhymed couplets, 8 syllables per line.

  1. This is absolutely brilliant, and I really love it. Oh to be young and dance beneath the sky, raining or not.
