She Dreamt of Flowers

She dreamt of flowers in her head

instead of winter’s gloomy tune

she heard brightness, gently tread

on blossoms silver, underneath the moon,

of a bird in hand, to him, she crooned

(humming sweetly).

She started when the sun arose–

happiest with a starry sky

when she could then repose

after eating—feeling time fleeting–

every second, she felt her heart beating–

(questioning what was seen)

if this was life, or a dream?

  1. Lovely dreams….lovely happiness….isn’t it true where sometimes you sit and ponder, is this real or is this some sort of universe-wide dream world we are living in? Gets a bit existential! 🙂 Glad to see you post to the prompt. Isn’t her art work amazing? 🙂

  2. This one was intriguing, some mysterious and some dreamy elements, too. I like someone who views early morning with stars still glowing in the sky. It could be part of a song! 🎶 📻
