sunshine bursts from cold ground–

this circle,

bulb to bright flower

winter to spring

life to death to life

A gogyoka for Colleen’s Tanka Tuesday prompt: Circle of Life.  This winter has been fairly mild (so far) but we’ve had so many gloomy days. I saw these coming up yesterday.

  1. Wow! I love the poem — embodying timeless wisdom into five short lines — and also the reminder that crocus are waiting underground to sprout and bloom… And in the case of this particular crocus, are already sprouting and preparing to bloom because of our oddly warm January weather. A lovely way to start my day!!! Thank you.
